My journey began in a unique communal living space in Lancashire, where I discovered the magic of handcrafted furniture in a workshop that became my playground.

From an early age, I was shaping, sanding, and creating with every tool I could find. I honed my craft through school and later completed a four-year diploma in fine woodworking.

At Royal Oak, I refined my skills in traditional furniture-making before moving to Australia in 2012. There, I worked with renowned woodturner Charles Sandford before expanding my expertise into cabinetmaking, shopfitting, and construction.

My passion led me to launch JG Fine Furniture in 2013, where I combined fine craftsmanship with structural knowledge to create bespoke pieces.

Over the years, I’ve mastered not just woodworking but the art of building. Blending creativity, precision, and a deep respect for materials. Every piece I craft is a story, built to last for generations using time-honored techniques.
